In the last year we have not had any breakins but the infomation below is well worth a read.
As you may be aware, the valley has experienced a wave of break-ins in 2005-2006. Our community had several and the situation continues. .
I am asking you to consider a installing security in your cottage. Our community may be viewed as a target along with the other communities which do not have a lot of permanent residents. I have recently installed one in my cottage. In addition to providing security it also monitors for fire and temperature drop in the cold weather. Although I do not have the number, I personally know of four break-ins close to me with one having over $50,000 of damage.
So please consider protecting yourselves. Another benefit will be a perception of our community becoming aware of this problem which may reduce the problem in our community.
